Yotpo Loyalty Alternatives: 9 Platforms Compared

October 7, 2026

Yotpo loyalty alternatives are loyalty and rewards platforms that replace Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals, usually because a store wants a paid plan below $199 a month, wants to stop paying per order fees, or no longer needs Yotpo's reviews and loyalty bundle from a single vendor. This guide compares nine of them on published pricing, makes the bundle versus best of breed trade off explicit, and shows exactly when unbundling saves money and when it does not.

Yotpo Loyalty is a capable product. Its Shopify listing holds a 4.7 star rating across 970 reviews, it redeems points at checkout, and it connects to Klaviyo and Recharge on the Pro plan. The question most teams are really asking is not whether Yotpo works. It is whether paying for a bundle still makes sense now that the bundle itself has changed.

What are Yotpo loyalty alternatives?

Yotpo loyalty alternatives are the loyalty, rewards and referral platforms a merchant can move to when Yotpo Loyalty stops matching their budget, their order volume or the way they want to buy software. They fall into three groups: standalone Shopify loyalty apps with public pricing, suites that bundle loyalty with reviews the way Yotpo does, and API first engines that run outside any one ecommerce platform.

If you are building a shortlist from scratch rather than replacing one vendor, start with our companion customer loyalty platform buyer's guide, which sets out the scoring framework every vendor on this page should be measured against. For the operational side, our piece on how to choose loyalty management software covers what the platform has to handle once the program is live.

Why do brands look for a Yotpo Loyalty alternative?

Four triggers account for most Yotpo Loyalty switches, and each one is visible in Yotpo's own published plans and announcements rather than in anecdote.

01

A steep first paid step

The free plan covers stores under 100 monthly orders. The next published plan is Pro at $199 a month, with no paid tier in between for a store doing a few hundred orders.

02

Per order fees on top

From 500 monthly orders, Pro adds 8 to 20 cents per order on top of the base price, so the bill rises with every good month rather than staying flat.

03

The bundle got smaller

Yotpo sunset its native email and SMS products in December 2025. Brands that bought Yotpo as one retention stack now run messaging elsewhere anyway.

04

Quote only at scale

Above 5,000 monthly orders the listing points to Enterprise pricing, which is not published. Budgeting a growth year means a sales conversation.

The third trigger matters most for this decision. Yotpo announced that it would sunset its native email and SMS products at the end of 2025 and named Attentive and Omnisend as migration partners, refocusing on reviews and loyalty. The original pitch for Yotpo was one vendor for reviews, SMS, email and loyalty. Today the bundle is two products, and most brands already have a second vendor for messaging.

Yotpo loyalty review: what does it do well?

Yotpo Loyalty does three things well: it ties loyalty and reviews data together inside one admin, it lets customers redeem points directly at checkout on Pro, and it carries strong merchant sentiment on the Shopify App Store. If your team leans on review requests that award points and wants one support contract for both, that integration is real value.

Where a Yotpo loyalty review usually turns critical is price structure rather than features. The jump from free to $199, the per order fees, and the unpublished bundle and Enterprise pricing make the total hard to forecast. That is the gap the alternatives below compete on.

How much does Yotpo Loyalty cost in 2026?

Yotpo Loyalty pricing starts free for stores under 100 monthly orders, then moves to Pro at $199 a month plus 8 to 20 cents per order from 500 monthly orders, with custom Enterprise pricing above 5,000 orders. Reviews are priced separately. The figures below come from the Yotpo Loyalty Shopify listing and Yotpo's pricing page as of October 2026.

Yotpo planPublished priceVolumeWhat it includes
Loyalty Free$0Under 100 monthly ordersRewards sticky bar, points for purchases, points for discounts, referral program, reporting
Loyalty Pro$199 per month plus 8 to 20 cents per order from 500 ordersUp to 5,000 monthly ordersRewards page, more ways to earn, redeem at checkout, webhooks, Klaviyo and Recharge integrations, email support

Reviews Pro$169 per monthUp to 500 monthly ordersSeller ratings, AI driven displays, AI review tools
Reviews and Loyalty bundleNot publishedSet by contractYotpo states the bundle costs less than buying each product separately

The per order fee is the line to model. Every 1,000 orders billed at 8 to 20 cents adds $80 to $200 to the month, which is why a strong peak season can move the bill more than any plan change. Weigh the result against your customer lifetime value before deciding whether the curve still pays for itself.

Bundle or best of breed: when does unbundling save money?

Unbundling saves money when the list price gap between Yotpo's reviews and loyalty pair and two specialist apps is larger than the cost of running two vendors. At 500 monthly orders, that gap is large. The comparison below uses published list prices only, so read it as a ceiling on Yotpo's side, since the bundle discount is negotiated and unpublished.

Monthly list price for reviews plus loyalty at 500 orders

Published Shopify and vendor pricing, October 2026. Yotpo shown before its unpublished bundle discount.

Yotpo Reviews Pro + Loyalty Pro$368
Judge.me Awesome + Gameball Starter$49
Judge.me Awesome + Smile.io Essential$30
Growave Entry (reviews, loyalty and wishlist)$15
StackList price at 500 ordersWhat you trade
Yotpo Reviews Pro + Loyalty Pro$368 per month before bundle discountOne admin and one contract; per order loyalty fees above 500 orders
Judge.me Awesome + Gameball Starter$49 per month ($15 + $34)Two vendors; Starter covers up to 1,000 orders with five VIP tiers and points for reviews
Judge.me Awesome + Smile.io Essential$30 per month ($15 + $15)Two vendors; VIP tiers only arrive on Smile.io Growth at $199
Growave Entry$15 per monthOne vendor; $20 per extra 100 orders and VIP tiers only from Growth at $199
Okendo Retain bundleNot published; products from $19One vendor for reviews, loyalty and surveys; bundles save up to 40 percent but normally require annual terms

List price is not the whole cost, so the decision comes down to which side of these lines your business sits on.

UNBUNDLE WHEN

The gap is bigger than the glue

Your reviews and loyalty apps both integrate with Klaviyo and each other, your negotiated Yotpo discount does not close a gap of several hundred dollars a month, and you already run SMS and email with another vendor.

UNBUNDLE WHEN

Loyalty has to leave Shopify

Your program needs to follow customers into a native app, a second storefront or physical stores, which calls for a platform built for multi channel rather than a reviews suite.

STAY BUNDLED WHEN

Shared data is the point

Your team relies on review requests that award points, merged segments and one dashboard, and does not have the time to own two integrations.

STAY BUNDLED WHEN

Your contract already wins

At high volume your negotiated bundle price beats the specialist stack once per order fees on the other side are counted. Model your peak month before you leave.

The hidden cost of unbundling is operational: two widgets on product pages, two support desks and one more integration to keep healthy. For a store running a few hundred orders a month, that cost is small next to a difference of more than $300 a month. For an enterprise brand with a negotiated contract, the math can flip. Our guide to how points engines actually work explains which loyalty features genuinely need deep reviews data and which only need an integration.

The 9 best Yotpo loyalty alternatives in 2026

The nine platforms below are ordered by fit for a brand leaving Yotpo Loyalty. Prices are the published entry points as of October 2026, taken from each vendor's pricing page or Shopify App Store listing. Loyalty vendors reprice often, so confirm before you sign.

1. Gameball

Gameball fits brands leaving Yotpo because of per order fees or because loyalty has to reach beyond one Shopify storefront. It runs points, tiers, challenges and referrals as one loyalty program, with gamification mechanics such as spin wheels, badges and leaderboards on top. On the Shopify App Store it is free up to 100 monthly recurring customers, Starter is $34 a month for up to 1,000 orders with five VIP tiers and points for reviews, and Pro is $159 with unlimited tiers and RFM segments. It integrates with Judge.me and Klaviyo, so the unbundled stack above is a supported setup rather than a workaround. Direct plans on Gameball pricing start at $399 for Growth, and Enterprise from $599 adds a dedicated customer success manager, 24/7 support and quarterly business reviews.

Where it is weaker: Gameball does not collect reviews itself, so you will run a reviews app alongside it.

2. Smile.io

Smile.io is the most familiar standalone swap. Its listing shows a free plan up to 200 orders, Essential at $15 for 500 orders, Standard at $79 for 1,000 and Growth at $199 for 2,500 orders plus $20 per additional 100, with a 4.9 star rating across more than 4,600 reviews. A store doing 1,000 orders a month can sit on a public $79 plan instead of $199 plus per order fees.

Where it is weaker: VIP tiers only arrive on the $199 Growth plan. We cover where it runs out of road in our review of Smile.io alternatives.

3. LoyaltyLion

LoyaltyLion suits brands that want a loyalty specialist with a managed feel. It is free up to 400 monthly orders, which is four times Yotpo's free ceiling, and Classic costs $199 a month with VIP tiers and POS support. It integrates with Klaviyo, Gorgias, Recharge, Attentive and more than 50 other tools, and holds 4.6 stars across 545 reviews.

Where it is weaker: the first paid step is the same $199 as Yotpo Pro, so it does not solve a budget trigger. Our guide to LoyaltyLion alternatives maps its pricing ladder in detail.

4. Rivo

Rivo suits teams leaving over price who want to launch the same day. It is free up to 200 orders, $15 on Essential, $49 on Scale with 400 orders included and $20 per additional 100 capped at $499, and $499 on Plus for up to 2,500 orders. Every plan includes 24/7 live chat support.

Where it is weaker: Scale reintroduces a per order overage, just at a lower base. We charted that curve in our guide to Rivo alternatives.

5. Okendo

Okendo is the closest like for like if you want to keep a bundle. It sells reviews, loyalty, referrals, surveys and quizzes as one suite, with pricing from $19 a month tiered by order volume and a Retain bundle of reviews, loyalty and surveys that saves up to 40 percent. Its listing carries 4.8 stars across more than 1,400 reviews.

Where it is weaker: platform and bundle subscriptions normally require annual terms, and bundle prices are not published, so you trade one quote for another.

6. Growave

Growave is the budget bundle. Its free plan covers loyalty points, wishlist and product reviews up to 200 orders, Entry is $15 for 500 orders plus $20 per additional 100, Growth is $199 for 1,500 orders and Plus is $499 for 3,000 orders with API access and headless support.

Where it is weaker: VIP tiers and store credit start on Growth at $199, and the per 100 order overage means cost still rises with volume.

7. Stamped

Stamped suits brands that want a reviews and loyalty pairing on monthly terms. Its pricing page lists Reviews at $199 a month and Repeat, its loyalty product, at $299, with multi product access from $798 a month. Subscriptions are monthly with no contract, and two domains are included before extra stores cost $100 a month each.

Where it is weaker: Stamped is built for Shopify and Shopify Plus only, and the multi product price sits well above Yotpo's list price for two products.

8. BON Loyalty

BON Loyalty is the lowest cost route to VIP tiers. It is free up to 150 orders, $15 for 300 orders, $29 for 500 orders with POS support, and $129 a month for unlimited orders with VIP tiers, streak purchases and daily check in points. It holds a 5.0 rating across nearly 2,000 reviews.

Where it is weaker: it is a Shopify app for Shopify stores, so it does not help if loyalty needs to follow customers into an app or another platform.

9. Talon.One

Talon. One is a promotion and loyalty engine you build against rather than an app you install. Every plan has no limit on API calls, Professional adds a dedicated customer success manager and campaign setup support, and Enterprise adds customized SLAs.

Where it is weaker: no price is published and there is no merchant facing widget out of the box. This is an engineering project, not a swap.

Yotpo Loyalty vs Gameball: how do they compare?

Yotpo Loyalty and Gameball differ most on how the price scales and on where loyalty can run. The comparison uses only each vendor's published pricing and Shopify App Store listing.

The honest summary: Yotpo is the stronger choice if you want reviews and loyalty under one contract and your negotiated bundle beats the stack math. Gameball is the stronger choice when you want VIP tiers and gamification well below $199, no per order loyalty fees on Shopify, or one program across Shopify, apps and stores.

How do you switch from Yotpo Loyalty without losing points?

You switch safely by freezing earning, exporting every balance, reconciling the point liability and verifying a sample before anything goes live. Points are a promise to customers and a liability on your books, so the migration is the risky part, not the setup.

1
Freeze and export

Pause earning in Yotpo, then export every member with balance, tier, join date, and lifetime points earned and redeemed.

2
Reconcile the liability

Total the outstanding points and price them at your redemption value. Finance signs off this number before anything moves.

3
Decide on reviews

If you are keeping Yotpo Reviews, confirm the new loyalty app can still award points for reviews. If not, export review content before cancelling.

4
Map rules, tiers and flows

Match each earning rule, reward and tier threshold, then repoint every Klaviyo flow and Recharge rule that listened for Yotpo events.

5
Import into a sandbox

Load the file and spot check 20 accounts across every tier. Balance, tier and expiry all have to match the export.

6
Tell members, then cut over

Email members before the switch confirming balances carry over, go live, and keep the old data readable for 90 days.

Yotpo Loyalty switch checklist

  • Full member export with balance, tier, expiry and lifetime earned and redeemed
  • Outstanding point liability priced and signed off by finance
  • Reviews decision made: keep Yotpo Reviews, or export review content first
  • Points for reviews rule rebuilt in the new platform
  • Klaviyo flows, Recharge rules and webhooks repointed
  • Checkout redemption tested end to end before the old widget is removed
  • Sandbox import verified against 20 real accounts across every tier
  • Member email sent before cutover; old data kept readable for 90 days

How do you know the switch paid off?

Hold out a control group, or you will never know. Comparing members against non members flatters every loyalty platform, because your best customers enroll first. Exclude 5 to 10 percent of eligible customers at launch, keep them out for 90 days, and compare repeat purchase rate, average order value and redemption rate between the two groups.

2x+Growth vs industry average for companies with a real loyalty effect (Bain)
1 in 10Companies that actually achieve that loyalty effect (Bain)
10 to 15%Typical revenue lift from personalization (McKinsey)
71%Consumers who expect personalized interactions (McKinsey)

Bain found that companies with a genuine loyalty effect grow at better than twice the average for their industry, and only about one in ten gets there. McKinsey puts the typical revenue lift from personalization at 10 to 15 percent, which is why segmentation depth belongs on your scorecard next to price. Our guides on how to measure loyalty program success and calculating loyalty program ROI turn those metrics into a number finance will accept, and tiered loyalty programs are the structure most worth rebuilding properly during a switch.

How Gameball helps

Gameball runs points, tiers and challenges, referrals and promotions from one member profile, and integrates with the reviews and messaging tools you already use, so unbundling from Yotpo does not mean losing points for reviews or Klaviyo triggers. Analytics and intelligence reports RFM segments and cohort repeat rate, and retail and ecommerce teams can import historic balances and tiers rather than starting members from zero. Book a demo to model a Yotpo migration against your own export, or compare Gameball pricing with your current bill.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Yotpo Loyalty alternative?

It depends on why you are leaving. Smile.io, Rivo and BON are the cheapest standalone swaps, Okendo and Growave keep reviews and loyalty bundled at a lower entry price, Talon. One suits engineering led stacks, and Gameball fits brands that want VIP tiers below $199 and one program across Shopify, apps and stores.

How much does Yotpo Loyalty cost?

Yotpo Loyalty is free for stores under 100 monthly orders. Pro costs $199 a month plus 8 to 20 cents per order from 500 monthly orders, and stores above 5,000 orders move to custom Enterprise pricing. Yotpo Reviews is priced separately, from $89 a month, and the reviews and loyalty bundle price is not published.

Does Yotpo still offer SMS and email?

No. Yotpo sunset its native email and SMS products in December 2025 and named Attentive and Omnisend as migration partners. Yotpo now focuses on reviews and loyalty, which means its bundle today covers two products rather than the full retention stack it sold before.

Is it cheaper to unbundle Yotpo reviews and loyalty?

Usually, at lower volumes. At 500 monthly orders, Yotpo Reviews Pro and Loyalty Pro list at $368 a month before any bundle discount, while Judge.me Awesome plus Gameball Starter lists at $49. At high volume a negotiated Yotpo bundle can close that gap, so model your peak month first.

Can you move loyalty points from Yotpo to another platform?

Yes. Pause earning, export every member with balance, tier, expiry and lifetime points, then import into the new platform's sandbox. Spot check 20 accounts across tiers, rebuild any points for reviews rule, repoint Klaviyo flows, email members before cutover and keep old data readable for 90 days.

Who are Yotpo's main loyalty competitors?

The platforms merchants compare most often are Smile.io, LoyaltyLion, Rivo and BON among standalone Shopify apps, Okendo, Growave and Stamped among reviews and loyalty suites, and Gameball and Talon. One for multi channel or API first programs. Each wins on a different trigger: price, bundling, channels or engineering control.
