Spring 2026 Highlights: More Precision, Personalization, and Flexibility

As loyalty programs mature, what actually drives results gets more specific. Generic earning rules and one-size-fits-all reward campaigns stop being enough. You need precision in how customers earn, personalization in how they're motivated to come back, and flexibility in how loyalty connects to the rest of their stack. The features that shipped this Spring are a direct response to that reality.

This release strengthens the operational core of Gameball with new capabilities; including:

  • Advanced Streak Campaigns
  • Time-Bound Challenges
  • Remaining to Next Tier variable
  • Redemption beyond Coupons
  • Tiered Multiplier Brackets
  • Granular Earning + Multiplier Rules
  • and Segment Usage Tracking

Advanced Streak Campaigns

Streaks build the kind of consecutive behavior that turns occasional customers into regulars. Until now, Gameball's streak campaigns were limited to daily logins, which constrained the use-cases that can drive habit formation.

Advanced Streak Campaigns are now expanded to reward any daily custom action that YOU define. The longer customers commit to that daily action, the higher the points reward they earn through escalating reward tiers. You can also offer permanent milestone badges for non-monetary recognition: customers earn them at key achievements and keep them, even if the streak resets.

This works for you if your retention strategy depends on daily, repeated behavior: fitness brands rewarding daily check-ins, coffee chains incentivizing daily visits, food delivery apps incentivizing daily orders, fintech apps rewarding daily portfolio monitoring. Milestone badges stay with the customer even after the streak resets, giving them a reason to keep going beyond the immediate reward.

‍

Time-Bound Challenges

The best seasonal promotions run on a deadline: do something a set number of times before the clock runs out. Think "order 5 times in 2 weeks" for a holiday push, or three visits in a single weekend for a flash promotion. Now you can set an action count and a deadline in one reward campaign, and Gameball tracks the rest.

The window can be days, weeks, or months, and the action can be anything you choose: purchases, reviews, referrals, or any custom event. Gameball counts each action and releases the reward only when the customer reaches the target before the window closes.

This works for you when retention depends on a finite window. A fashion retailer can run a "buy 3 items in 14 days" promotion. A food delivery app can reward 5 orders inside a single week. A gym chain can reward 4 visits in 30 days. A fintech app can reward 5 transactions within a month. The same engine that runs your long-term loyalty program now powers your short-term campaigns.

‍

Remaining to Next Tier

VIP tiers are one of the strongest retention drivers in loyalty design, but only if customers understand where they stand. Generic tier messaging like "keep earning to level up" creates no urgency because it doesn't tell the customer how close they actually are. When the message is the same for everyone, every tier-up nudge becomes background noise.

The new Remaining to Next Tier variable works in any email, SMS, push notification, or in-app message. Each customer sees their own progress: "You're 150 points away from Gold," or "Just two orders to reach Platinum." It works with points, orders, referrals, or whatever metric your tier program uses.

Every routine communication you send can become a personalized tier-up nudge. Your customers see their own progress instead of a generic line, which is what actually gets them to come back.

Redemption Beyond Coupons

Now you can connect Gameball's redemption catalog directly to YOUR reward system. Skip coupons entirely and allow your customers to redeem their points as rewards that mean something specific to them, delivered through the systems you've already built.

When a customer redeems, your reward system handles delivery instead of Gameball generating a coupon. You can verify if integration is working properly with a built-in “Test Connection”  before you go live. Then at every redemption, if anything goes wrong on your side, customers don't lose their points.

Practically, what this really means is that - a telco brand can let customers redeem points for mobile data or call minutes through their own billing system. A gym chain can convert points into class credits or membership extensions. A retailer can issue store credit through its existing balance engine. Gameball stays the loyalty engine; you own what points convert into.

‍

Tiered Multiplier Brackets

Historically, all basket sizes were treated the same. For example, on a Black Friday, a customer spending $100 earned 200 points, and a customer spending $1,000 earned 2,000 points. Same flat rate, no differentiation, no reason for the bigger spender to push further.

What if the multiplier grew as the customer spent more? Now it can. Inside a single point multiplier campaign, you set escalating brackets tied to a spend attribute like Total Price. For example, $0 to $100 earns 1x, $101 to $500 earns 2x, $500+ earns 3x. Customers can also see how much more they need to spend to qualify for the next multiplier tier.

What this means for you: a direct way to grow average order value, built into the loyalty mechanic your customers already use. The bigger spender finally has a reason to push further, and you get to reward the behavior that grows revenue per order.

Granular Earning + Multiplier Rules

Customizing your earning rules by product collection has been around for a while. But, more often than not, your business requires more flexibility and granularity in defining how points are earned to match your strategy. You may want to exclude Cash on Delivery orders from earning to encourage online payment. You may want to give double points for buy-online-pickup-in-store to reduce operational costs. You may want to reward specific bank-card payments to honour a partnership agreement.

With Advanced Earning Rules and Point Multiplier Campaigns, you now have the flexibility to layer order-level attributes such as: branch, payment method, fulfillment channel, and line-item-level attributes such as: item quantity or item tags, to stay in control of what you actually want to incentivize. When rules overlap, the highest matching multiplier applies automatically.

This means that finance gets to protect margins, marketing gets to honour vendor/partnership agreements, and e-commerce gets to reward the moves that matter; all inside the same earning rules.

‍

Segment Usage Tracking

As loyalty programs scale, segments accumulate fast. A team that started with a handful of audience definitions can quickly end up with dozens of overlapping ones, and once that happens, editing any single segment becomes risky. Without visibility into where each segment is used, a small rule change can quietly break a live campaign or automation.

Each segment now carries a usage overview that shows exactly where it's being referenced across Gameball: which reward campaigns and communication campaigns it powers, which automations trigger on it (and whether the trigger is Segment Entered or Segment Exited), and whether each linked item is currently active or inactive. Edits happen with full context instead of guesswork.

This makes life easier when you're managing dozens of overlapping segments, where the cost of an accidental edit grows with every campaign or automation that depends on the segment. If you're running an enterprise program with complex audience strategies, you finally have the dependency map to make changes confidently, without the risk of breaking a live workflow as a side effect.

What's Next

These updates continue our focus on giving you more control over how customers earn, how you segment them, what they see as they climb your tiers, and how they redeem. You can reward more specific behaviors, see where each segment is used, show customers their progress to the next tier, and connect redemption to your own reward systems, all without adding work for your team.
