Over the past few months, we’ve rolled out a series of powerful updates designed to make your Gameball experience smarter, faster, and more secure. In case you missed any of them, here’s a quick recap of everything new we introduced this summer, from enhanced automations and segmentation tools to stronger security controls and improved campaign management.

Smarter Integrations for a More Connected Experience

This past summer, Gameball introduced a series of powerful integrations designed to help you connect your loyalty data with your favorite marketing tools, and make every customer interaction smarter and more impactful.

To start, we’ve expanded our referral module’s flexibility by adding Branch.io and Adjust as new dynamic link providers. As Firebase begins deprecating its “Dynamic Links” feature, these integrations ensure a seamless experience when routing users to your app on iOS or Android, while providing advanced tracking capabilities to strengthen your acquisition strategy.

Gameball leveled up engagement with 1q new gamified reward campaigns, each crafted to deliver fun, interactivity, and meaningful customer participation. From quick-win challenges to skill-based games, every campaign helps you turn engagement into loyalty, and loyalty into growth.

Not every engagement moment has to come from an arcade-style game, sometimes, real loyalty grows through consistent actions, achievable goals, and rewarding progress. That’s exactly what Gameball’s new behavior-based gamified campaigns are designed for. These five new campaign types bring gamification principles like progress, challenge, and achievement into everyday customer experiences, helping you drive retention, habit-building, and sustained engagement over time.

We’ve added five powerful reward campaigns that motivate your customers through behavior patterns, not just gameplay:

  • 🔥 Streak (Daily Visits):Reward users for logging in or taking action on consecutive days to build habit and loyalty.

  • 🏁 Action Streak: Give rewards when customers repeat a specific action (e.g. multiple purchases or referrals) in a row.

  • 📅 Calendar Challenge: Set up daily or weekly challenge grids that reward users for completing recurring tasks.

  • 🎖️ Mission: Guide users through multi-step journeys or task sequences, rewarding them as they progress.

  • 🏆 Milestone Campaigns: Incentivize customers to hit key thresholds or achieve goals over time for larger rewards.

These campaigns complement Gameball’s interactive games by focusing on long-term behavioral engagement, turning repeated actions and steady progress into meaningful, gamified experiences that keep customers coming back.

Dynamic Rewards: Smarter, More Personalized Incentives

We’re taking reward flexibility to the next level! Merchants can now configure dynamic reward values, whether through Fixed Coupon Rewards or Reward Campaigns, allowing offers and points to scale automatically based on customer actions or order value.

Dynamic Value for Fixed Coupon Rewards

Instead of offering a static coupon (like $10 off), you can now set your fixed coupon rewards to calculate their value dynamically, for example, 15% of the customer’s cart total or any chosen variable.
This enhancement gives your promotions a personalized edge, adapting to each customer’s behavior and ensuring your discounts grow in proportion to their engagement.

Dynamic Points Based on Action Metadata

Similarly, reward campaigns now support dynamic points calculation tied to the numeric value of a customer action. This means you can grant points based on how much a customer spends, donates, or engages, rather than a flat rate.
For example, a customer spending $100 could earn 300 points (3x multiplier), while another spending $5 earns 15 points.

  • Apply rewards to any numeric action, not just purchases, like review stars, items bought, or donation amounts.

Gameball’s automation engine got a major upgrade, giving you more control, flexibility, and precision in how you engage your customers.

With the introduction of A/B Testing in Automation Flows, you can now experiment with different engagement strategies directly inside Gameball. Split your audience into custom groups, test variations in actions or rewards, and measure which path delivers the best results, all with detailed performance insights to guide your next move.

We’ve also enhanced automation accuracy through Continuous Audience and Frequency Re-Evaluation. This ensures that customers are automatically rechecked for eligibility before every step in a flow, keeping your campaigns perfectly targeted and preventing irrelevant communications.

Together, these updates make your automations more adaptive, data-driven, and results-oriented, helping you deliver the right message, to the right customer, at exactly the right moment.

Smarter Segmentation for Sharper Targeting

This summer, Gameball supercharged its segmentation capabilities, giving you deeper control and greater accuracy when targeting your customers.

First, with Order-Based Segmentation, you can now create customer segments grounded in real purchase data. Filter audiences by total order value, number of orders, date ranges, or average spend, with fully refunded orders automatically excluded for cleaner insights. This means more precise targeting and smarter personalization for your loyalty strategies.

Building on that, Product-Level Order Segmentation takes personalization even further. You can now segment customers based on the exact products and quantities they’ve purchased, from specific SKUs and categories to collections and price ranges. Combine multiple filters using AND/OR logic for full flexibility and target customers with pinpoint accuracy.

Together, these enhancements turn your customer data into actionable insight, helping you reach the right audience, with the right message, every time.

Enhanced Security for Greater Peace of Mind

At Gameball, keeping your data and customer information safe is a top priority. This summer, we rolled out several important updates designed to give you stronger control, tighter protection, and easier security management across your account and integrations.

API & Secret Key Rotation from the Dashboard

You can now rotate your API and Secret Keys directly from the Gameball dashboard, no developer intervention required. This enhancement allows you to periodically renew credentials without disrupting your integrations.

  • Instant key replacement: A new key is generated immediately, and the old one is automatically disabled.

  • Automatic Shopify & Salla updates: Keys update seamlessly in connected stores, with no manual reconfiguration needed.

  • Controlled access: Only admins and authorized users can perform rotations, ensuring secure, compliant credential management.

High Security Mode for API Authentication

Gameball now offers an optional High Security Mode that adds another verification layer to your API integrations. Once enabled, every request must include both an API Key and a Secret Key, protecting your account even if one key becomes exposed.
Activate this feature anytime from the Integration Settings inside your admin panel for maximum protection.

reCAPTCHA Added to Login Flow

To further secure your account access, Google reCAPTCHA has been added to the login screen. This helps prevent bots, brute-force attempts, and unauthorized logins, keeping both your business and your customers’ data safer.

Together, these updates strengthen Gameball’s security foundation, helping you stay compliant with best practices while ensuring a safer, more reliable experience for your entire team.

More Improvements:

1. Exclude Specific Customers Across All Campaigns
  • You can now exclude certain customers from any campaign or module in Gameball, from Reward Campaigns to Automations. This gives you finer control over your targeting, helps avoid overexposing power users or test accounts, and ensures your campaigns reach only the right audiences.
2. Refunded Points Keep Their Original Expiry Date
  • Refunded points now retain their original expiry month, ensuring accurate lifecycle management and consistent reporting. Even partial refunds respect the same expiry rules, offering transparency for both clients and customers.
3. Automate “Points to Expire” Notifications
  • A new Points to Expire trigger in Automations gives you complete control over when and how to alert customers about upcoming expirations. Customize reminder timing, channels, and messaging to boost engagement and reduce liability, no more fixed expiry notifications by default.
4. Exclude Taxes from Reward Calculations
  • Clients can now choose to exclude taxes from reward calculations. This ensures loyalty rewards are based only on the net product value, offering better financial precision, avoiding over-rewarding, and supporting compliance in markets with variable tax rates.
5. Fixed Points Cashback per Collection
  • Introducing a new cashback model where fixed points can be rewarded per product collection, regardless of price. Ideal for brands that want to issue consistent rewards for specific categories like “New Arrivals” or “Exclusive Items.”
6. Copy Campaigns Across Workspaces
  • Multi-workspace clients can now duplicate campaigns instantly between workspaces with a Copy to Workspace action. This saves time, ensures consistency, and simplifies rolling out regional or localized versions of successful loyalty campaigns.
7. Custom User Permissions per Invitation
  • Admins now have full control over user permissions right from the invitation stage. Assign access per dashboard section, from Customers to Analytics, for tailored visibility and stronger account security. Permissions can be edited anytime.
8. Order & Refund Filters in Customer Activity Log
  • The Customer Activity Log now includes filters for orders and refunds. This helps support and marketing teams quickly locate transactions, verify campaign impact, and resolve customer queries faster without leaving the profile view.
