DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Build and maintain the DevOps culture and infrastructure used to automate the release, deployment, and upgrade processes for the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a clear organized delivery lifecycle for different projects, bring best practices and latest up-to-date tools to streamline development/deployment processes.
  
• Setup CI/CD pipelines and ensure their robustness.
  
• Maintain source code’s versioning and tidiness by working closely with the dev team, ensuring an adequate source-control scheme (Git branching workflows).
  
• Develop and deploy solutions to optimize the infrastructure and external services cost.
  
• Monitor our environments across various cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), utilizing alerts and easy-to-read dashboards to maintain our status awareness around the clock.
  
• Perform routine security tasks, e.g., patching cycles, vulnerability awareness, CI/CD tooling, and incident response reporting flow.
  
• Manage infrastructures across various cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure); allocating new resources, and optimizing costs.
  
• Operate environment for the cloud platforms.
  
• Drive troubleshooting efforts around incidents and outages.
  

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any relevant field Functional Skills:

• Proficient with git and git workflows
  
• Confident working on Linux based infrastructure
  
• Configuration and managing databases (Postgres experience is preferable)
  
• Good knowledge of shell scripting languages (Bash, sh, Python, etc…)
  
• Experience with cloud-based providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure, etc…
  
• Comfortable with container management solutions and orchestrators as EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, etc…
  
• Strong problem-solving skills, plus awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
