July Updates: Referrals Made Easier...and More!

Building a referral program could sometimes be challenging with the so many factors that need to be measured, configured, and monitored; nevertheless, if created well, it could be a highly effective and cheap marketing tool that raises brand awareness, acquisition, and sales.

According to Nielsen, people are four times more likely to buy if they are referred by a friend. In fact, 46% of consumers already consult family and friends before making a purchase. When a friend or family member recommends a product or service, it means they’ve had a positive experience with the business.

For that reason, the customer referral program should be comprehensive and easy to use, which means your experience in creating a referral program should be easy to understand and use as well, and that's precisely why Gameball has improved the referral experience for you and your customers.

How has the referral experience changed?

Both the configuring experience on Gameball's admin dashboard as well as the customer's referral experience through the widget have changed.

For Gameball Admin User:

If you visit the referral section on Gameball admin dashboard, you will find that you no longer have to choose a referral method. Instead, you will configure the customer's referral journey step by step.

All you need to do is choose a reward type for the player who made the successful referral and then configures the reward. For example, you can choose to reward the referrer with a percentage-based discount of 10% and choose that the coupon is applicable only to certain collections.

You can also configure a reward for the referred friend or choose not to reward them

Most importantly, you will be able to draw the scenario in which the referral is considered successful. For example, the referral could be successful, and the reward will only be given if the referred friend signed up and placed at least one order.

The referral section is where you can also put a link to the referral landing page for the referred friend to be redirected to when they click on the invitation sent by your customer.

For Gameball PLayer:

When a player lands on the referral tab on Gameball widget, they'll see an elaborative full guide in steps on how to make a successful referral.

For example, if your configuration states that the referred friend needs to sign up and make one purchase, they will find this piece of information. They will also see the reward they get for that referral as well as the reward their friends get when they follow the steps.

The revamped referral section on the player widget is also where they can find their own referral link to copy and share with their friends.

For Referred Friends and Guests:

A big enhancement, especially for mobile users. When a friend or a guest uses the link sent by our player, they'll be easily navigated through the widget notifications on what they need to do to win.

The most significant improvement is that once they take their first action on your platform, referred friends will receive a clickable instant notification as well as an email with their reward voucher so they can use it on their first order.

What else is new?

Adding Two Years Expiry to the Levels

Before today, you were only able to let a player who hasn't been so active lately stay and benefit from a high level they've reached for a period of 6 months or 12 months tops before the level expires and they get relocated to a level that matches their degree of activity.

Now, you could also let them stay and enjoy the benefit of that level for 24 months before Gameball starts calculating the level they should be on according to their degree of activity on your platform.
